Wine cooperatives are structurally different from single-estate wineries. A cooperative receives grapes from dozens or hundreds of members, each with different parcels, varieties, and quality levels. Where Excel breaks
Spreadsheets are flexible. That is also their fatal weakness. In a cooperative, these are the failure points:
Grape reception and member accounting. During harvest, a cooperative receives hundreds of grape deliveries per day.
