What data reaches Cepaos

  • Real-time equipment readings

What you need

  • Domaine plan or higher (IoT telemetry)
  • A Cepaos Gateway (Raspberry Pi 4 or mini-PC) on the winery network
  • An electrical integrator to install the sensor and relay

How to connect it, step by step

Retrofit

External sensor and relay with Modbus output, read by the Gateway.

  1. 1

With an electrical integrator, install an external sensor (pressure, flow or temperature, depending on the equipment) and, if you want commands, a relay; both with Modbus TCP output.

  2. 2

Connect a Cepaos Gateway in IoT & Automation → Gateway and follow the install command.

  3. 3

Add the equipment in IoT & Automation → Connected equipment and set up the Modbus TCP adapter with the registers of the installed sensor and relay.

  4. 4

Check the readings in “View live” before using them in your records.

You need a Cepaos account with the administrator role.

Why a retrofit instead of a direct connection?

Because the manufacturer does not publish a communication interface. A retrofit measures from the outside with standard sensors, without touching the equipment’s control system.
